Acceptance of these Terms

By creating an account, using our website or app, or participating in any Nyla features (Family Hub, Shared Rhythm Pods, Connect forums, Meet & Play, Find Care & Activities, Matching), you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

Eligibility

• You must be 18+ and a parent/guardian or an adult acting with a parent/guardian's permission.

• Accounts for children under 13 are not allowed. Parents may enter a child's info only to coordinate care.

The Services

Nyla provides tools for family coordination and community: Family Hub; Shared Rhythm Pods; Connect forums (Q&A, polls, optional anonymous posting); Meet & Play events; Find Care & Activities; and Matching. We may update, add, or remove features.

Platform status (no employment/agency)

Nyla does not employ, endorse, or control families, caregivers, or groups using the platform and is not a party to any agreements between users (including care, carpools, events, or payments). You choose your connections and assume all risk when interacting with others.

Safety; Your responsibilities

Use reasonable care and follow laws when arranging care, rides, or events, including: identity/credential checks; car seats/transport laws; disclosing and honoring constraints (allergies, accessibility, nap schedules); and contacting emergency services when needed. Any optional checks/badges we offer are limited and not guarantees.

Community standards

No harassment, threats, hate/illegal content, doxxing, false credentials, spam/ads without permission, or unsafe activities. We may moderate, remove content, limit features, or suspend accounts.

Forums, anonymity, and your content

You're responsible for what you post. Anonymous posting may be available; moderators may still see identity for safety.

License you grant: You grant Nyla a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, use, reproduce, and display your content only to operate and improve the Services (moderation, backups, analytics, and showing content consistent with your settings). You keep ownership; you may edit/delete content (backups/logs may retain limited copies for a time). Do not upload others' personal data without consent.

Family Hub sharing & permissions

When you add co-parents or relatives, you control their permissions (view/add/edit) and are responsible for granting/revoking access and inviting appropriate recipients.

Events (Meet & Play) and Pods

Hosts are responsible for venue suitability and house rules (pets, stairs, allergens, supervision, screens). Pods should agree on schedules, pickup rules, and a simple swap/credit policy before starting.

Caregivers and programs

Find Care & Activities lists caregivers/programs. Nyla is not the provider; you must evaluate suitability and any provider-specific terms/fees.

Fees and payments

Some features may be free; others may require paid plans or marketplace payments. We'll disclose pricing, renewal terms, and refund policies before purchase. Payments are processed by third-party processors under their terms.

Third-party links & services

We may integrate with third-party tools (calendar sync, maps, background checks). We aren't responsible for their content or policies.

Intellectual property

Except for user content, the Services and their content are owned by Nyla Care or its licensors and protected by IP laws. You may not copy, modify, or reverse engineer the Services.

Feedback

If you submit feedback/suggestions, you grant Nyla a license to use them without restriction or compensation.

Termination

You may stop using Nyla or delete your account at any time. We may suspend/terminate access for violations or risks. The content license in Section 7 continues only as needed to operate Services already provided (e.g., existing forum threads).

Disclaimers

THE SERVICES ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE." TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NYLA CARE ("NYLA") DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT GUARANTEE MATCHES, OUTCOMES, OR THE AVAILABILITY OR CONDUCT OF OTHER USERS.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NYLA AND ITS OFFICERS/DIRECTORS/EMPLOYEES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICES WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID TO NYLA IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) USD $100.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold Nyla harmless from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Services, your content, or your violation of these Terms or law.

Disputes; governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of [choose governing state/country]. Venue is [city/state], unless local law requires otherwise. (If you want arbitration or a class-action waiver, add here and have counsel review.)

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms. We'll post the new date and, for material changes, provide notice (e.g., email or in-app). Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
