About Us

Nyla started with one after-school problem.

Every day at 3:30 PM, children across neighborhoods hop off school buses, bursting with excitement about who they want to play with. Their eyes light up as they share stories about new friendships and ask that hopeful question every parent knows well.

The challenge?
Making those connections happen shouldn't feel impossible.

Too often, parents find themselves in awkward situations—driving around neighborhoods, making impromptu introductions, or scrambling to coordinate last-minute playdates with families they barely know.

It's not that anyone is unfriendly. Modern parenting is simply busy, fragmented, and full of moving parts that make spontaneous connections feel complicated.

For children, those after-school moments represent pure possibility—the chance to continue friendships that make their days brighter.

For parents, they often become another item on an already overwhelming to-do list.

Every family deserves a way to make these connections natural, safe, and effortless. Every parent should be able to say "yes" more often—without the stress, without the scramble, without the barriers.

That's why we built Nyla.

The simple moments shouldn't be complicated.

When your child lights up talking about their day, when they mention a friend they want to see again, when they ask that hopeful question—"Can we have a playdate?"—that should be the beginning of connection, not stress.

We believe parenting works better when it starts with trust, grows through shared experiences, and creates lasting bonds between families.

We're rebuilding the village.

Once upon a time, parenting happened in a web of helping hands—family, neighbors, friends who were like family. You didn't have to think twice about who could pick up your kids from school or keep them for an afternoon.

Somewhere along the way, that village disappeared. Families spread out, schedules got busier, and "support" started living in text threads and group chats that never led to real help.

Nyla was born from that gap.

We're parents ourselves, and we know the weight of doing it alone.
We built Nyla to make sure you don't have to.

Why We Exist

Parenting works better when it starts with the people you already know and trust—and grows outward with intention. The "village" may not look like it used to, but we believe it can be rebuilt.

Coordinate care with co-parents and extended family in one shared hub.

Meet nearby verified parents who share your family's pace, values, and rhythms.

Turn everyday moments—like a simple after-school playdate—into easy, trusted connections.

Our Mission

Our mission is simple: cut the chaos, make communication easy, and give families back more time for what matters most—being together. We believe parenting works best with a village, so Nyla helps you connect with parents right in your neighborhood to build friendships and create real-life support beyond your own family.
